Enabling Tech for India’s First Driverless Shuttle

Overview

As automation takes the business world by storm, our client focuses on building solutions that enable businesses to get the best of the emerging technologies. We built an app that enables the fleet managers to remotely control every aspect the driverless shuttles. The solution features an array of capabilities, including seat booking by users, stoppage alerts at the source and destination, emergency stoppage, real-time location, and navigation, among others. As a tech solution partner to the client, we’ve continued our collaboration to explore new avenues in automation.

Our Process

We built an app that enables the fleet managers to remotely control every aspect the driverless shuttles. The solution features an array of capabilities, including seat booking by users, stoppage alerts at the source and destination, emergency stoppage, real-time location, and navigation, among others. Made in India, the driverless vehicle starts its journey once the destination is entered without pausing and moves in accordance with the direction and road congestion. It is a fourteen-seater vehicle, which can navigate autonomously with its high-fidelity sensors and robust algorithms for path planning and navigation.

1
Project Initiation

The team started with understanding of Hi-Tech Robotic Systems’ objectives and vision. Defining the scope and requirements for the driverless vehicle management application.

2
Technological Blueprint

Next step was to design the architecture of the driverless vehicle management app. Identifying and integrating high-fidelity sensors for real-time data acquisition. Developing algorithms for path planning, and emergency stoppage.

3
Rapid Development

Agile development methodologies were employed for rapid development and responsiveness to evolving requirements. Collaborative coding and regular communication helped throughout the development phase.

4
Testing & QA

Rigorous testing procedures to validate the functionality, scalability, and security of the application. Conducting simulated trials to ensure the app’s performance under various scenarios.
